Accessibility statement
Last reviewed: 2026-11-07
OmicsQuest wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use omicsquest.com. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we apply WCAG 2.2 success criteria where practical.
What we do
- Every meaningful image, figure and diagram has a text alternative, and scientific figures include written captions that describe each panel.
- The Site can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link on every page.
- Text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Moving content can be paused: the homepage animation and the scrolling ribbon each have a pause control, and motion is reduced automatically for visitors who set "reduce motion" on their device.
- Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and labeled form fields, and work with screen readers and browser zoom up to 400%.
- Pages reflow for small screens without horizontal scrolling, except for wide data tables, which can be scrolled with the keyboard.
How we test
The Site is reviewed with automated testing (axe-core, against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules) and manual checks of keyboard navigation, contrast, motion and screen reader labels. Issues found are corrected, and we review the Site again when we make significant changes.
Known limitations
Some scientific figures and visualizations contain dense data that a short text alternative cannot fully convey. If you need the underlying information in another format, contact us and we will provide it.
Feedback and alternative formats
If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, or need information in an accessible alternative format, email contact@omicsquest.com with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within five business days and will work with you to provide the information you need.
