Bioinformatics pricing: from $79 an hour, capped before we start

Clear rates, written estimates with a cap, and unlimited figure customization. No per-sample packages that charge you for analyses you do not need.

In short

OmicsQuest charges from $79/hour for bioinformatics analysis by a bioinformatician and cell biologist duo team. Every project starts with a free scoping call and a capped estimate. A typical single-cell RNA-seq project costs $1,975-$3,555, and bulk RNA-seq $632-$1,580. Pipeline maintenance for startups is a flat $1,490/month and up.

What typical projects cost

Ranges at the $79/hour standard rate. Your estimate depends on sample count, data quality and the analyses you choose, and it is always capped in writing.

Pricing questions

Anything else? Ask us.

Why hourly instead of per-sample pricing?

Per-sample prices assume every dataset needs the same analysis. They rarely do. Hourly pricing with a capped estimate means you pay for what your question needs, and nothing hides in a package price.

What happens if the estimate is not enough?

We stop and talk to you before reaching the cap. You decide whether to extend, narrow the scope or stop. We never bill beyond an agreed cap without written approval.

Are figure revisions really unlimited?

Yes, for delivered analyses: restyling, recoloring, relabeling, re-layout and format changes for journals, grants and talks are free. New analyses are billed hourly.

Is the $79 rate for every type of work?

$79/hour is our standard analysis rate, which covers most projects. Senior specialist work, such as new method development, custom machine-learning models or program-level target discovery, is billed from $119/hour. Your estimate shows which rate applies.

Do you offer academic or startup discounts?

Our rates are already well below typical commercial bioinformatics rates. Reserved monthly hours and pipeline retainers give the best value for steady workloads.

How do I pay?

We invoice monthly for hours used, or in advance for reserved hours, by card, bank transfer or purchase order. University and company PO processes are supported.

Get a capped estimate for your project.

Send a few lines about your experiment. A bioinformatician and a biologist will review it and reply with questions or a capped estimate. Analysis starts at $79/hour, and figure customization is unlimited.
