We look for the real biology in your data.
OmicsQuest is a remote-first bioinformatics contract research team of computational biologists and cell biologists. We exist because too many good experiments end with analyses that do not hold up.
Why we started
Across academic labs and biotech, we kept seeing the same pattern: careful experiments followed by rushed analysis, then reviewer comments about doublets, pseudoreplication or batch effects, months after the data was generated. The analyst had often moved on, and the code had gone with them.
We built OmicsQuest to make expert analysis available the moment you need it, without a hiring process, and to put a biologist next to every bioinformatician, so results make sense before they reach a figure.
The duo team model
Every project is staffed with two people. The bioinformatician owns methods, statistics and reproducibility. The cell biologist owns experimental context, annotation and interpretation. Both join your calls, and both sign off on every figure.
Our analysis standards
- Replicates are the unit of inference. We use pseudobulk or mixed models for condition comparisons in single-cell and spatial data.
- Artifacts are removed before biology is named. We remove ambient RNA, doublets, segmentation errors, plate effects and batch effects first.
- Methods are benchmarked where it matters. Integration, segmentation and deconvolution choices are measured, not assumed.
- Everything is reproducible. Versioned code, pinned containers, recorded parameters and a methods section you can paste.
- Claims match the evidence. We tell you what your data can and cannot support, before a reviewer does.
Data security and ownership
- Mutual NDA before any data transfer
- Encrypted transfer and storage; we can also work inside your own cloud account
- Access limited to your project team
- You own all data, results, code, figures and intellectual property
- Project data deleted on request or at project close
Our name
Omics gives you thousands of measurements per sample. The quest is finding the few that reflect real biology rather than technical noise. That is the job, and it is our motto: a quest for the real biology in your data.
Tell us about your data.
Send a few lines about your experiment. A bioinformatician and a biologist will review it and reply with questions or a capped estimate. Analysis starts at $79/hour, and figure customization is unlimited.
- Free 30-minute scoping call
- Capped estimate before any billable work
- You own all data, code, figures and IP
